Linen Care Guide
Wash your new linen before using for the first time.
Machine wash
We recommend a warm (below 40oC) gentle machine wash. For better results wash linens separately from other fabrics. Use a detergent that is gentle on fabrics. Do not bleach your linens. Linen naturally gets softer with every wash.
Hand wash
Soak it in lukewarm water for about 10 minutes before washing. Don’t wring, twist or scrub. Rinse repeatedly until the soapy residue is all gone.
Removing stains
Linen is a highly absorbent fabric. Remove any stains immediately to avoid any damage. Wash with plenty of water and wash separately– a gentle detergent will work well to remove most stains.
Drying linen
Your linen can either tumble dry using a warm setting or line drying out of direct sunlight.
Ironing linen
Use a warm setting on your iron.
Bleaching linen
Bleach and detergents with optical brighteners tend to weaken the fibers and may cause discolouring. Avoid bleaching.
Storing linen
Store your linen in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area and away from direct sunlight. Avoid storing linen in plastic bags.
FAQs
What are the benefits of linen?
Linen has many benefits! Not only is it aesthetically pleasing, but it is also one of the most durable, long-lasting, and temperature-regulating bedding options available.
What does 160 GSM mean?
GSM stands for grams per square meter, which is a metric weight measurement for fabric. A higher GSM indicates a denser fabric. Our linen, at 160GSM, is the perfect weight for quality, warmth, comfort, and durability.
Do you offer pillowcases or euros that match my sheets?
Yes, we understand the importance of having high-quality bedding to go with your new linens. That's why we created our pillowcases and euros to complete your bedding experience. Our set of pillowcases includes two regular pillowcases with an envelope opening, and they have been pre-washed for added comfort.
What can I expect from your quality?
You will be very satisfied with your decision! Our premium linen collection is designed to enhance the atmosphere of your living space and provide you with the ultimate comfort and sophistication you deserve. We understand that your home is your sanctuary, which is why we are committed to offering you the best linen products at prices that strike the perfect balance between quality and affordability.
Are your products certified?
Yes, we are Oeko-Tex certified.
Why does my linen bleed?
It is normal for 100% linen to shed fibres at the beginning of its lifespan as the fabric naturally softens. With each wash and wear, linen becomes softer and the excess fibres fall out. The shedding will slow down after a few wash cycles following our care recommendations. Avoid using fabric softeners in the wash as they can accelerate the shedding process.
Why choose linen for the bedroom?
Linen is one of the best fabrics for the bedroom due to its temperature-regulating properties and other benefits such as being antibacterial, hypoallergenic, and anti-fungal. Additionally, the colour of your bedding can play a significant role in your sleep health and mood.
