Meeting our Zero Waste Obligations with Intent

At Bistara Linen Co. we have a zero-waste policy, which is at the core of our business model, and we are responsible to our customers as well as to the planet. We believe that it’s vital to source the most ecologically produced linen, and then to further refine that zero-waste strategy through reuse, and recycling. Another aspect of our zero-waste policy is to reduce packaging, in order to ensure that we are not responsible for putting non-biodegradable packaging into the ground.

The Oeko-Tex Standard is one of the world’s most renowned labels for chemical testing of fabrics and has a high standard of verification required. The trademark relates to an as-produced status of the textile and tests for harmful substances. This verification is required under Australian standards. Businesses in Australia are required to use quality control measures to make certain their products both meet mandatory levels of safety and will not cause harm when used in a reasonable manner, including reasonable reuse. Bistara Linen Co. products meet industry standards and mandatory government regulatory standards.
